Glazed Eggnog Bread is packed with the sweet eggnog flavors you love….in a delicious dairy free bread recipe that’s perfect for the holidays! Best of all , it’s made with Silk Soy Nog for a dairy-free breakfast treat that everyone can enjoy!
I partnered with Silk to bring you this recipe. Thank you for supporting the brands that make Lemon Tree Dwelling possible! It’s fascinating how certain things from childhood stand out in our memories…especially when it comes to holiday celebrations. Some of them because we did them every year , like making Christmas cookies and putting up decorations and looking through boxes of ornaments while listening to The Muppets Christmas record. And some because we did them once or twice , and they made such an impression that I still remember them to this day.
There was one year , in particular , that was full of special little one-time things. It was the year that half my family was in a Christmas play at our local community theater. My mom was Mrs. Claus , my sister was in the chorus , and I had a teeny tiny little part where I literally just ran across the stage. I guess acting wasn’t really my thing….but in so many ways , being involved in that play was such a great experience!
And the fact that it was during the holiday season was even better. I mean – having your mom be Mrs. Claus-? How fun is that!? It almost made up for the fact that my teeny tiny {non-speaking} part nearly made me sick from nerves. Like I said….acting (if you want to call it that) was really not my thing!
What WAS my thing? All the fun leading up to the play….and all the fun after! I specifically remember a holiday cast party at the end of it all , complete with Christmas caroling , holiday treats galore , and the BEST eggnog. I’m pretty sure I drank way more than my share of it , and to this day , every time I have a glass , I get a little nostalgic.
As an adult , I love the fact that I have such great holiday memories. And I love the idea of creating the same types of memories for my girls! Hosting a holiday party has always been on my wish list , and this might just be the year to make it happen. Complete with caroling , treats galore , and , of course , NOG!!! I recently discovered Silk Soy Nog and must say – it’s a delicious alternative to traditional eggnog! It’s made without eggs , dairy , or saturated fat , which means it can be more of a “guilt-free” treat. And it’s the perfect drink to serve at a party , especially in the age of so many food intolerances.
Also? The soy nog is absolutely perfect in this Glazed Eggnog Bread recipe , which is also dairy-free!
Cheers to holiday traditions , delicious treats , guilt-free nog , and making memories. What are your favorite holiday treats and traditions?
