BBQ Cranberry Meatballs Recipe
I hope your week started off fantastic so far! It's been kinda low key around here the last couple days, but we will have a full house tomorrow for New Years Eve! We have some friends and family stopping by to hang out. Can't wait to make some appetizers and have a couple glasses of wine!
Speaking of appetizers... I have a great recipe for you today! BBQ Cranberry Meatballs! We did appetizers for Christmas at my Dad's house this year and this was what I brought with! They were a hit. Only a few left in the slow cooker at the end of the evening. The sauce is super easy to put together. The meatballs take a little effort, but so worth the outcome. You will love these!
I hope you have a fun and safe New Year's Eve! See you on Wednesday evening for another new recipe!
:)
BBQ Cranberry Meatballs
What you need:
Meatballs:
2 pounds ground turkey
2 eggs
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup onion, finely diced
2 teaspoons steak seasoning
salt and pepper
Sauce:
1- 14 ounce can jellied cranberry sauce
2- 20 ounce bottles BBQ sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, combine all of the meatball ingredients until mixed. Shape the mixture into meatballs, any size you prefer and place into a 9x13 glass baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
In a slow cooker, combine the cranberry sauce, BBQ sauce and garlic powder until smooth. Add meatballs and heat on low for 3-4 hours stirring occasionally. Serve with toothpicks for an appetizer or rice as a meal.
